This trip to Rajasthan is known as the country of princes, it enables us to discover, travel around the dessert and explore the simplicity of the surrounding nearby villages, taking a glimpse to the rhythm of the caravans, monuments, palaces, forts, bazaars, related to Jaisalmer an extraordinarily fortified city, Jodhpur – the blue city, Udaipur – the white city, romantic in its own near the Pichola lake and Jaipur – the city of rose. Lots of scenery, vivid ambiance and fabulous sites leaves us in full wonder and amazement all along the journey. |

Itinerary
J1: Delhi/Nawalgarh/Mandawa
Plane arrives in the morning, transfer to Nawalgarh: 6h
Route to the Shekhawati district is famous for its havelis, ideal location for business people. The walls have a depicting look with colourful balconies and pillars sculptured to the taste of the touristic people. A walk to the bourg of Mandawa is an important routeway for the caravans and we will discover Nawalgarh. Mandawa. Castle.
J2: Nawalgarh/Bikaner: 6h
Nawalgarh is seen for its popular havelis around the region.
Transfer to Bikaner after a short breakfast to visit the charming bourg of Fathepur.

J3: Bikaner/transfert to rando 1h.
After a short breakfast, we will discover the Junagargh forte, including the archictectural side constructed in the sixteenth century’s. A visit to the Prachina museum provides a rare collection of traditional Rajasthani paintings, silver objects and other luxurious embroidery work. A promenade to the old city guarantees more havelis on the way. After breakfast, a visit to the fascinating temple Karni Mahata, situated at Deshnok (temple of rats). We will eventually explore the Thar desert crossing the Marwar city until the source of the Meharee. Roughly a 2h30 minutes trip. Bivouac.
J4-5: hike
On a chariot, sitting on a camel or by walk we will follow the caravan. We will explore a variety of isolated villages where the population is best seen for its good friendship. In fact the Thar desert is one of the most populated desert in the world. It is a very unique desert. There is a few sandy dunes appearing in different zones but equally there is some shrubs reflecting the cultural part of it. There are numerous huts and small houses lively furnished with hay material. The local population use camels as the main mode of transport to travel around the Thar desert.
Bivouac on the fifth night, spending the night with the nearby inhabitant. A big traditional house at Jamba.
J6: Jamba/Jaisalmer
Departure for Trichy, visit the amazing Srirangam temple, built on an island in the middle of the Cauvery River. We proceed to Madurai , visit to the Meenakshi temple, a true Holy City inside the city.
J7: Jaisalmer
Visit to the fortress founded in the twelfth century is preserved for its authenticity. Jaisalmer is also a place for important pilgrimage where the youngsters can experience the spiritual aspect and their respect is well seen and shared around. Visit to their magnificent temples, sculptured during the twelfth and the fifteenth century. One has to walk on these old city streets to admire the shavelis in splendid conditions with varied heights encircling small fountains.
Free in the afternoon.
J8: Jaisalmer/Jodhpur
Route to Jodhpur <the blue city> Visit to the fashionable fortress of Meherangarh.The contrast between the massive walls made in natural ruby colour gives the taste of interior decoration. A leisurely walk to the old city is truly like discovering all the narrow streets with lively people. Pal haveli.
J9: Jodhpur/ Ranakpur/ Udaipur
Transfer after breakfast. On the way visit to Ranakpur temple d’Adinath dating the fifteenth century. This important white marble sanctuary is admired for its wonderful architectural structure jaine. Arriving late afternoon to Udaipur, the white city near lake Picola. Rangniwas Palace.
J10: Udaipur
Near the poignant city and lake we will discover the palace Maharana which preserves an ancient collection of weapons kept preciously covered in maze inside the rooms and the halls are decorated with an art work glass or ceramics. Visit to the Vishnuique of Jagdish temple 17th century. Stroll to the old city provides a range of numerous artistic workshop. Before sunset a small promenade on the lake with a beautiful boat. Rangniwas Palace.
J11: Udaipur/ Pushkar
Route to Pushkar is full of small isolated white houses constructed on the fringe of the desert and it is very pleasant during the famous annual festival of horses.It is considered as a saint city with many temples where the sadhus gather on for pilgrimage. Pushkar resort.
J12: Pushkar/ Jaipur
Route to Jaipur after breakfast. Mandawa haveli
J13 : Jaipur
A glance at the famous façade of the wind palace then a visit to the Amber fort. We will admire the pathways, the spavillons and the palace of mirrors. Visit to the city and its palace where the Jantar Mantar’s royal family resides in the present time. Mandawa havali.
On the way to Agra, visit to the Fathepur Sikri which is enrolled on the heritage sight of the UNESCO known worldwide and it is one of the capital of Moghol Akbar the emperor. Stepping into Agra the rays of sunlight will reflect the amazing architectural side of the taj Mahal, brightful mosaics in white marbles constructed by the great moghol Shah Jahan to symbolize his true love for his wife Mumtaz. J15: Agra/ Delhi
Discovery of the old city Jama Masjid allows us to find the great sub-continent Indian mosque. A walk to the Chandni Chowk bazaar and a short glance at the red fort built in the 17th century. Flight in the same evening.
